OTHUUM was initially founded in 2016 as a nameless project. At first the name 'VOID' was agreed upon. Two live appearances under this name were completed before the band concentrated on recording the songs in autumn 2017. Meanwhile the name changed to OTHUUM, under which the first album 'The Astral Horror' was released at the end of 2018.
